How you receive donations (owner setup)

You need a PayPal account that can receive payments. Then pick one of these:

Fastest — PayPal.Me
In PayPal: Settings → Account settings → PayPal.Me (or create one at paypal.com/paypalme). You get a link like https://paypal.me/YourName. Put that in the server .env as PAYPAL_ME_URL=https://paypal.me/YourName, then restart the app.
Donate button — Hosted button
In PayPal: Tools → All tools → PayPal buttons → Donate. Create a Donate button, copy the hosted_button_id from the code PayPal gives you. Set PAYPAL_DONATE_HOSTED_BUTTON_ID=XXXXX in .env and restart.

After either option is set, the blue button above opens PayPal so visitors can send money. You do not need a credit card form on this site — PayPal handles the payment page.

Money lands in your PayPal balance. Withdraw to your bank from PayPal when you want. Fees depend on your country and PayPal’s current rates.

What supporters should know

Donations are voluntary. The inbox stays free either way.
We do not store card numbers. Payment happens on PayPal’s site.
